HOPEFULLY someone who does use osX can use the hints above to find a solution. The procedure seems to change a little for each new Mac OS version, mainly because X11. If not, maybe look to see if you can run it with something like dosbox - there used to be some decent osX wrappers for dosbox that would make this painless (you could drag the directory into the application, and it instantly ran.) Again, haven't used osX for years so not sure anyone is working on those things anymore - nor do I remember the names of them - and it may be it's not possible due to Apple's new restrictions that I have heard they've put into the latest versions - where it is very difficult to run your own programs. The instructions below assume you are using OS 10.11 (El Capitan). Perhaps homebrew documentation will show. I haven't used osX since 10.6, as it became useless for me compared to using an actual unix-like as Apple continued to decide to remove things (like X11) which made it much less of a good Unix laptop/desktop when working with a mixed Unix environment - so I don't know WHERE it would be. ![]() (It may not be avialable for osX any longer - but at one time, it was an addon which you could use to run Unix applications written for X (X11, Xorg, etc.) Chances are the port took advantage of this to use SDL on osX.) ![]() Do note however, that the reason IGLX is normally disabled is that it's a likely security risk: make sure you trust the application that's running remotely if you choose to do this. ![]() Based on the error you're getting, I'd say the answer would be to install X11 / Xorg for osX. defaults write 11 enableiglx -bool true You have to restart XQuartz after this, and things should work again.
